So - I currently have have some C# code to create a new PowerBI workspace, then using the import/export methods on the SDK to add reports from a Golden Workspace to the new workspace, all using Service Principal. This all works, but the new reports do not have the original description from the reports in our Golden Workspace.
I have also tried https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/rest/api/power-bi/reports/update-report-content-in-group, but this does not copy the description to the new report either.
It is my understanding now that the description can only ever be added via the Power BI Service, manually, online by a user, and it is not possible to either have this description included from the originating report with import/export, or be able to use any API methods after this to update an existing Power BI report record to add a description.
Could anyone confirm that this is the case?
