Hi,
I am new to Power BI. I have two tables with one having Parent-Child relationship (hierarchy table) and another with the Account and it details. My question is, Can Power BI connect to the data source and use these tables and create a report with natural hierarchy format WITHOUT using custom queries. (i.e, they should only import the tables and use drag, drop, join features to create an hierarchy data)
Thanks
Armani

Power BI's 'power' lies in the ETL and modeling capabilities. You can create hierarchies based on your tables and parent child relationships (thru ETL you can determine those links) - in the data view you can also create those hierarchies and in the model view you can relate the tables in a matter that makes sense.
Once you have that in place, you will be able to generate any type of report. The metadata in Power BI is what drives the intelligence of the viz's.
