Can Power BI SDKs or API's be used to automate the creation of Dashboards in Power BI desktop?

Is it possible to create dashboards programatically?

Hi @tgmueller,

The Power BI REST API can operate the Dashboards indeed. But it isn't built to work with Power BI Desktop. Actually it is an interface of Power BI Service. Please refer to https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/mt826238.aspx.

With the Rest API, can you apply templates to new datasets in the ArcGIS Pro enviroment?

Thank you!

Hi @tgmueller,

I'm afraid there isn't such Power BI REST API available. Please refer to rest/api/power-bi/datasets.

Dale
