Button that calls an SP in SQL Server

Hello, I have the following use case.

I would like my end users to be able to delegate RLS in Power BI. To do so they need to be able write data to SQL Server based on filter selections in Power BI.

I know it's a possible to have a button and send your filter selection to Power Automation and write data to SQL Server that way. However then I will have the additional license cost of Power Automations that I want to avoid.

I would like my end users to be able to start a store procedure in SQL Server with him/hers current filter selection by pressing a button in Power BI.

Is this possible to do, if so how?

Not possible, and not likely any time soon.  For now Power Apps or Power Automate is your only (and klutzy)  way.
