Hello,
PowerBI Newbie here ... I would like to create a tree like structured model to show a high level count of Groups, then the ability to click the item to see a roll down of count broken into sub-items. The interface would be able to "open" and "close" the item list. Is this possible? Below is my desired visual followed by my sample code.
| Fruit | 10 |
| Apple | 5 |
| Banana | 3 |
| Orange | 2 |
| Veggie | 9 |
| Carrot | 5 |
| Cucumber | 4 |
| Dairy | 10 |
| Eggs | 5 |
| Milk | 5 |
Here is my sample code:
-- ==================================================================
-- Groups
-- ==================================================================
-- DROP TABLE #Groups
CREATE TABLE #Groups (GID int, GroupName varchar(25))
INSERT INTO #Groups VALUES (1, 'Fruit')
INSERT INTO #Groups VALUES (2, 'Veggie')
INSERT INTO #Groups VALUES (3, 'Dairy')
-- SELECT * FROM #Groups
-- ==================================================================
-- Items
-- ==================================================================
-- DROP TABLE #Items
CREATE TABLE #Items (IID int IDENTITY(1,1), ItemName varchar(25), ItemCnt int, GID int)
INSERT INTO #Items VALUES ('Apple' , 5,1)
INSERT INTO #Items VALUES ('Banana' , 3,1)
INSERT INTO #Items VALUES ('Orange' , 2,1)
INSERT INTO #Items VALUES ('Carrot' , 5,2)
INSERT INTO #Items VALUES ('Cucumber', 4, 2)
INSERT INTO #Items VALUES ('Eggs' , 5,3)
INSERT INTO #Items VALUES ('Milk' , 5,3)
-- SELECT * FROM #Items
Many thanks in advance!
