Accessing Information about Filters and Slicers

I'm looking into a way to try and keep track of a large number of filters applied across a report.  I was hoping there might be something I could use within a custom visual to gather information about what filters have been applied, and summarize in a way that helps users remember what they've applied, like a breadcrumb trail.  Is such a thing possible?

I have used Smart Filter from OKViz to get this behavior.  Add it as a custom visual and then set Observer mode on as shown in the following screenshot.
