I am interested in unravelling the contents of the PBIX that I often get sent.
There's often a whole raft of Excel docs that prove difficult to track down (local paths) and often some of our existing SSAS MD cubes and SQL Databases used as data sources, often with various embedded or hard coded credentials.
I wondered if it was possible for me to attack the file content (I know its a ZIP with several sub elements within it) so I could list these somehow using some PowerShell or somehting rather than having to go copy them all out of the data sources.
As we try and promote the PBIX generated insight into a supported environnment it gets complicated to unravel the lineage and understand which PBIXs might be impacted by changes to our SSAS and SQL databases.
Am I missing some tooling somewhere that can help with this?
many thanks
Steve
