API Version for PBIRS

Hi all, I've been developing some custom visuals with one of the latest API Versions (~5.2.0).  I've now been tasked with creating some for a report server; but it looks like the API Version for PBIRS is ~3.2.0.  After reviewing the What's New page, I can't find any updates to the PBIRS regarding API since 2020.  Is there a timeline for when PBIRS can expect to be able to leverage the newer API Versions?

I'm trying to gauge if I need to figure out the differences between versions and write the visuals in 3.2 or wait until we get the newer versions which I'm already familiar with.

Hi @MPetramalo51,

The custom visuals API shipped with PBIRS is detailed in the change log page for each release. Looks like they missed the detail for Jan 2023, so it will either be the same as Sep 2022 (4.7.0) or higher. I do think that the timeline may have indeed been a bit too tight to get 5.1.0 into that release, but you may need to contact the team to confirm 100%: pbicvsupport@microsoft.com.

Regards,

Daniel
