500: Internal errors calling the Power BI REST API

In the past week, we have seen many unexplained 500: Internal Server Errors when calling the Power BI API. These disrupt report processing for our clients. They all appear to be internal issues in Power BI.

I have submitted a support ticket; though we have an enterprise support plan with Microsoft, unfortunately, the support reps from Mindtree Ltd. are generally very slow to provide steps that are actually relevant to our issue.

I recommend submitting a support ticket with Microsoft.

Since you have a Pro license you can open a Pro ticket at https://admin.powerplatform.microsoft.com/newsupportticket/powerbi

Make sure to mention the tenant id and the region.
