what is the correct approach for handle development and production file ?

Hi All

I like to know how all of you manage the PBI file ?

My approach is i create a series of file with verison number like below  image . ( Development file name )

when i need to post the PBI file to web service , i will need to save to rename the file name to PBS_VER_018 ( production file name )

Hope some one can share your approach , which is more productive.

Hey Paul @admin11 ,

that's already a good way.

You can also save them as *.pbit file. Like this they don't contain data, so you save a lot of space on the hard drive.

Another approach would be to save the files in GitHub or TFS, to keep track of the versions.

If you need any help please let me know.
If I answered your question I would be happy if you could mark my post as a solution ✔️ and give it a thumbs up 👍
