Hi all,
I currently have a clustered column chart in a Powerbi report that, ideally, would require to export exact data. After clicking "show as table", it tabulates the data exactly to how I am required to display and present this data. The problem that I am facing now is that I am unable to either export or copy the data in the exact same format that is being shown in the table.
Is there a step that I am missing so that I am able to simply copy + paste these values over to an external excel spreadsheet? Ideally, I do not want to have to manually put in this data to avoid any entry errors that may arise due to the different users that will be performing this task.
Thanks.
There's an option to export data as a csv / excel: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/visuals/power-bi-visualization-export-data?tabs=powerbi-d...
Hi Vicky,
Should have also pointed out, exporting as a CSV file doens't alignt he data in the same format that is shown. In this table it is automatically grouping the data, however, when I export as CSV and open it shows all the data in a completely differnet format.
thanks,
Hello @kolja ,
Yes, if you want to have it like shown in show as table you should work it in Pivot table in excel, it won't export as shown grouped. you should do the grouping in excel.
check how to pivot data in a table in excel https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/office/create-a-pivottable-to-analyze-worksheet-data-a9a84538-bf...
