Hi. Let's see if I can make myself clearer this time. First attempt was confusing 😬
I have an application and an SQL database. I am already reading and displaying a lot of data from this database in PowerBI.
But there is one type of data that I can't import simly as a table from this database.
And it's a schematic (picture) that is generated on the fly by the application as soon as certain table parameters are chosen manually by a user. The picture itself isn't stored anywhere.
There is another way to draw this schematic pciture - by running a command from a command prompt. In this case the application generates a file with the schematic on the fly.
Does PowerBI have an option to invoke a custom program? So that an exe file (that command run in command prompt) inside PowerBI is called, and then schematic uploaded to a dashboard/repot.
Thanks in advance!
Hey @Anonymous ,
unfortunately, it's not possible to invoke 3rd parties tools.
Maybe the synoptic panel custom visual can help to tackle your challenge: https://okviz.com/synoptic-panel/
Regards,
Tom
