using legend field is reducing number of data considered in graph

Hi all,

i have a mystery to solve. i have a simple Stacked Column Chart that is displaying month and year on one axis and distinct number of non conformities as columns. For the month of January I have 38 non conformities. As soon as i add a field in the Legend, this number is reduced to 25. can someone tell me why????

this is creating a lot of confusion and i really dont know how to solve it.

Any help is appreciated.

@alevandenes . do you see a sign with ! on it. it means the data limit on the visual has exceeded.
