All,

when trying to refresh the data in my pbix-file, I receive the following error message:

Failed to save modifications to the server. Error returned: 'There's not enough memory to complete this operation. Please try again later when there may be more memory available.

I didn't get this, before I updated to Windows 11 and the latest PBI Desktop version (app. same pbix-file size). I have 8GB RAM and closed all application consuming a lot of RAM. The size of the pbix-file is 1.435KB. Does anybody know, how to overcome this? Thanks,

Holger

Thanks, I reduced the amount of data, now it is working. MS tools using more and more memory, efficient usage of resources is not state of the art anymore.

@Mauerwinkel

Strange! Have you looked at the memory utilization of Power BI desktop in Task manager? What is the vloume of your data?

if the vloume is huge then limit the data with parameters and publish the file to power bi service and then remove the filter by changing the value of the parameter in power bi service. In my opinion you would need at least 16 gb ram to run power bi smoothly.
