unable to write DAX expression in Power BI

Upon clicking "New Measure" no window shows up to write DAX expression on. A small window appears temporariliy that says "working on it" but later nothing happens. 

I am wondering If something is wrong with my settings?

I have already updated the Power BI to latest version and restarted the power BI

Any help is highly appreciated!

Try switching to the Data view then hitting the button.

It looks like the formula bar is always shown in that view.
