trenline changing color line based on date (x-axis)

Hi,

I have a question. I have a simple trendline graph showing a cumultative count of a variable  (y-axis) and date on the x-axis.  I want the line to have a different color based on date. So if date is before today be green after red (for example). I thought I could do this by creating a calculated colum giving a value to "if before today then actuals" and  ""if after today than forecast) and using that as a legend variable. But this does not work, anyone has a solution how to do change the colors of the line not on the value of the y-axis but based on date being before today on the x-axis? It needs be adjusted dependent on date dynamically so I cannot mannualy do the colors.

Thank in advance for the help!

@Anonymous it is pretty straight forward, add two measures and use these in visual

Before Selected Date=
VAR __date = DATE ( 2019,1,1) --replace this with TODAY()
RETURN
 CALCULATE ( [Your Measure], KEEPFILTERS('Date'[Date] <= __date ) )

After Selected Date =
VAR __date = DATE(2019,1,1) --you can replace it with today
RETURN
CALCULATE ( [Your Measure], KEEPFILTERS('Date'[Date] > __date ) )

here is the output
