Hello!
I'm trying to represent Madrid in its smallest geographical division and when loading the map to power bi it appear empty and greyed, that is something normal, however if I add the key to location it stays greyed and when hoovering in each division it shows as undefined.
I loaded the excel file of the data of the map that i retriewed from QGIS and also, I have other tables with the same columns so they can be related each other, nevertheless the key map is not recognised, do you know why that can be and how to fix it?
Solved! Go to Solution.
Your data looks fine, all attributes are included in the topojson. What are you trying to display?
Could be the number of entries?? I have around 4200 entries
nah, that is fine. Works for me with couple 100K entries. Would you be able to provide a sample topojson file and some sample data?
I'm trying to upload the file but it is not supported, how could I share it to you?

Hey mate! I'm looking a way to make a map just like yours, to represent watersupply networks and polygons (as well as other info). May I know which solution had you addopted, please?
well, that worked for me, thank you, although I'm not able to do it by myself reporducing your steps (that are the usual ones) I thought maybe the map was broken but what is broken is my pc 😄
Hello! thank you for showing me it works, now I'm sure I'm doing something wrong because when I try to reproduce your steps "Count of CUSEC by CUDIS" the map stays grey. Did you do something else apart from loading the data?
No, loaded the data and then replaced the map choice with your JSON.
I would like to use this map as a blueprint to represent many data from Madrid
Most likely you stripped away too many attributes in Mapshaper. Run the export again but preserve the attributes.
I have tried both, but usually I don't touch the atributtes for that reason, in my power bi file I have a table with the key atributte, although the map appears each section when hoovering them shows undefined, I had some issues to represent the map in EPSG: 25830- ETRS89 which it was the default SRC but the map showed shattered, and tried EPSG: 4326- WGS 84 and the map appears perfectly but they key won't work
