the latest power bi update crashes the old power bi report

hello team ,hope you are doing well. i need your help.

earlier i was using power bi desktop of sep 2019 and the power bi report sized 200 mb was working perfectly fine but when my organization updated with the latest power bi update it crashes.

the old report open initiaaly but when i do any changes in power query and save it, and when it start the same report it crashes.

can you please advise what to do.

Hi @dodiyal ,

 

That's a quite old version you were using before.

Try uninstalling the application then download and install the latest version.

For the pbix file, you could try publishing it to Power BI Service then download the pbix and open it by using the latest version of Power BI Desktop.

have you had a look at what yours task manager is doing memory wise when you save?   how much memory do you have on your laptop.
