Hi @datacollection ,
It appears that the issue may have originated from the version of Power BI Desktop in use. Recently, a new version of Power BI Desktop has been released. We kindly request you to verify if the problem persists with this latest version. If the issue has been resolved, we would appreciate it if you could mark your post as ‘Answered’. Do you have the same number of distinctcount output for those two rows? In order to sort the column by another column, this has to be the case.
Best regards,
In order to use the sort by column, your sort by column should have the same number of unique values as the sorted column, so that there's no ambiguity when sorting.
Best regards,
