slicer help

Hello,

I have a SQL data set with the following information fields.

Date , Range, Sales

I'm trying to add a slicer for both Range and Date.  I can successfully create the Range slicer but the Date is only creating a yearly slicer.

My date is stored on monthly time frames (end of month dates).  Is there anyway to create monthly and quarterly slicers.

Any information would be greatly appreciated

In the field well, click on the little arrow and pick the 'Field' instead of the Hierarchy. By default it puts the hierarchy
