sharepoint data not getting synced

Hi all,

I have a power bi report with 1) connection to azure DWH and 2) connection to a file in sharepoint folder.

The DWH data is updating as per refreshment, but the data from the sharepoint file is not syncing anyhow.

I understand that this should happen every other hour without doing anything?

Why is this not syncing?

Hi @fisqkuz1 ,

As the official document said, When you store a Power BI Desktop file on OneDrive or SharePoint Online, any data you’ve loaded into your file’s model is imported into the dataset. Power BI service syncs with those changes too, usually within about an hour. Sometimes it is not on time, it may take longer.

but the data from the sharepoint file is not syncing anyhow.

So do you try to manually refresh to make sure Power BI can connect to data sources?

Best Regards,
Eyelyn Qin

@fisqkuz1 , Have you configured incremental refresh(if needed on desktop) and scheduled refresh on service

why would an incremental refresh be neccesary in this case? i don't see anythng about this in the documentation about sharepoint files
