for some reason I am not able to rotate the shape map with custom regions. The strange thing is that on the website https://mapshaper.org/ the map appears perfectly, however, when exporting to topojson and then applying it to powerbi, a completely deconfigured image appears. I used the simplify at https://mapshaper.org/ at 19%.
For anyone interested, I have similar issue and what worked for me was to upload file to mapshaper.org with advanced options using command 'proj merc' (mercator projection). Once object was loaded, I opened Map Shaper console and used 'proj wgs84', which is apparently projection used by PBI. The shape map got a bit distorted in Map Shaper after convertion, but in PBI it showed correctly.
I tried to post my topojson file, but the text was too big.. I couldn't find where to attach it. If anyone can help me resolve this I would greatly appreciate it.
