see a change from file to file

Hello everyone!

I would love creative thinking and help
I have a file of employees that is updated twice a month
The structure is fixed
I just need to bounce the changes from file to file
That is, if an employee changed his status in the first file versus the second file

Anyone have an idea?

Hi @netanel ,

Please refer to my pbix to see if it helps you.

Create columns.

_segm =
VAR _diff =
    CALCULATE (
        MAX ( Append1[SEGMENT] ),
        FILTER (
            Append1,
            Append1[NAME] = EARLIER ( Append1[NAME] )
                && Append1[ID NUMBER] = EARLIER ( Append1[ID NUMBER] )
        )
    )
RETURN
    IF ( _diff <> Append1[SEGMENT], "change", BLANK () )
_job =
VAR _diff_job =
    CALCULATE (
        MAX ( Append1[JOB] ),
        FILTER (
            Append1,
            Append1[NAME] = EARLIER ( Append1[NAME] )
                && Append1[ID NUMBER] = EARLIER ( Append1[ID NUMBER] )
        )
    )
RETURN
    IF ( _diff_job <> Append1[JOB], "change", BLANK () )

Hi @netanel ,

Please refer to my pbix file to see if it helps you.

Create two measures.

_se = IF(NOT(CONTAINS(b,b[SEGMENT],MAX(a[SEGMENT]))),"red")
_job = IF(not(CONTAINS(b,b[JOB],MAX(a[JOB]))),"red")

Then Conditional formatting of them.

@Anonymous

Wow what an answer!
Thank you!
Easy change
I'm working on a table that combines the two files (Append )
There is only one column that separates the a & b she call "File" column
2. Instead of painting in red, it is possible to add a column that says Change
Whenever there was a change? Like what you painted in red

Thank you so mach!!

Another little thing
Beyond the change from record to record you managed to mark excellently
Sometimes there are more or less people between files
How can I find it too?

@netanel , If you need based on slicer then you need 1 or independent table with file name

As of now for only 2 files without any slicer, create a separate table with file name join with table

The create measure like

New measure =

var _file1=  calculate(max(Table[Job]) , filter(allselected(File), File[File] = "File1") )

var _file2=  calculate(max(Table[Job]) , filter(allselected(File), File[File] = "File2") )

return

if(Max(File[File]) ="File2" , _file1 <> _file2 , "red", "black")

Use this measure in conditional formatting using the field value option

How to do conditional formatting by measure and apply it on pie?: https://youtu.be/RqBb5eBf_I4

Is file 1 and file 2 are seperate tables or single table?

Hey @mh2587

Thanks for the quick respons!

They are one table
I did Append to them
So I need one or a few columns that will show me the difference between the file
In relation to a person whether he has changed type of work or city

@netanel , On is having two tables and create common dimensions and analyze them,

Or try to use DAX append to have data in same table

Hey @amitchandak

On is having two tables and create common dimensions and analyze them,

This is exactly what I started to do (Attached Image)
But I want to bounce the difference in each DIM clearly and quickly
So looking for an idea
Regarding the append attached is excellent and I am working on something like this thanks!

But is there a solution in DAX or a simple Measure to bounce differences?

1.The difference between a file and a file in a certain dimension

2.My database and file-to-file change are marked in red
