scatterplot density

Hi all, im a newbe and i have a question about a scatterplot.

I want to do a regression on how long an incident is open for administration against the total time until the incident is closed.

In examples i always see a lot of bullets, but mine has a straight line. Is there a way to expand the view of this, or is it just the data who is ressponsible for the straight line. In other words, the correlation is exact 1 so this is how it is?
