I am trying to duplicate a Salesforce.com report within Power BI.
The Salesforce.com report has the following filter:
Filtered By:1 AND 2 AND 4 and (3 or (5 and 6) or 😎 AND 7
1. Company / Account does not contain test, sample, beta
2. Email does not contain google.com
3. Original Source Type. contains List import, new lead, web
4. Opportunity ID not equal to ""
5. Original Source Type. equals salesforce.com
6. Lead Source equals Equinix Event,Inbound Call,Industry Event,Website
7. Lead Record Type equals Lead Stage 1
8. Created By equals System User
I can't duplicate the filter criteria with the AND/OR statements and order based on the bracets ( ).
How can i duplicate this in Power BI?
I am connecting to the Salesforce.com LEAD object directly.
Appreciate any help here.
thanks.
Hi @ushah763,
If I understand your scenario correctly that you conncet the data source with the Salesforce Object connector, and you want to keep the filters when you import the data in Power BI Desktop?
If it is, I'm afraid that we may not duplicate the filters of the report in Salesforce within Power BI dekstop.
We need to create the report and create the filters with the data in Salesforce by ourselves in Power BI Desktop.
In addition, you may have a try with Salesforce Report connector in Power BI Desktop or Saledforce Report Content pack in Power BI Service.
Best Regards,
Cherry
Yes, i am connecting to the object directly using the Salesforce conenctor.
I want to know how to duplicate the same filter in Power BI desktop. How can I get the same filter as the Salesforce.com filter with the brackets ( ) and the AND / OR order of operation. I don't want to import the salesforce filters, i want to know how to duplicate them using Power query.
I can filter for the AND statements, but not when it get into the (3 or (5 and 6)) operation.
How do I do that in POwer BI?
When i compare the results of the Salesforce.com report using the above filters and my Power BI report, they do not match because i do not know how to include the (3 or (5 and 6)) operations into my query. That is where i need help.
