Hi, I am very new to Powerbi and have a few questions on the matrix table. I have been scrolling thru the forum but its really hard since this product often changes.
1. Is there a way to remove the grand totals on the rows but keep the subtotals by year. The Grand totals in my matrix mean nothing to me. When I turn off subtotals, the year subtotals also turn off which I need.
2. I created the YOY% with the new Quick Measures and I really only need the Year Total YOY%. Is there a way to just create the YOY for the year total and not the High or Low total YOY%
3. Is there a way to display the YOY% for 2017. I have the data from 2016 but do not want to display in it the matrix.
Current matrix table..

| High | YOY | Low | YOY | Total | YOY | High | YOY | Low | YOY | Total | YOY | Total | ||

this is what I want it to look like..

Hi @scramer,
1. Is there a way to remove the grand totals on the rows but keep the subtotals by year. The Grand totals in my matrix mean nothing to me. When I turn off subtotals, the year subtotals also turn off which I need.
1. The feature you required is not supported in Power BI Desktop currently. You could post your new idea here and add your comments there to improve Power BI and make this feature coming sooner.
2. I created the YOY% with the new Quick Measures and I really only need the Year Total YOY%. Is there a way to just create the YOY for the year total and not the High or Low total YOY%
2. For how to create the measure of YOY%, you could refer to this similar thread.
3. Is there a way to display the YOY% for 2017. I have the data from 2016 but do not want to display in it the matrix.
3. You could create a measure by IF to filter the Year2016.
If you need additional help please share some data sample which could reproduce your scenario well. You can upload it to OneDrive or Dropbox and post the link here. Do mask sensitive data before uploading.)
Best Regards,
Cherry
Thank you for the feedback. I voted on being able to remove grand totals and/or subotals.
I did try that solution for just getting the YOY% but kept receiving an error that DATEADD is not a Date Type. So then I did the new quick measure I'm just not familiar with it and what I should be selecting.
I did figure out my third item.
