Here's simplified scenario :: I have a report with a couple of pages Page 1 and Page 2. Each page has multiple slicers and Page 1 drillthrough's to Page 2.
Here's what i need help with - The user drillthrough's to Page 2 from Page 1, plays around with slicer values on Page 2 and then returns to Page 1 to pick another value for drillthrough to go back into Page 2. ... during this 2nd trip (and every trip hereafter) back into Page 2, i need the values of the slicers of Page 2 to reset to original values ... They don't and continue to show previous trips' selections ... Forget slicers, even say, a bar selected on a chart keeps sticking from previous trip into next one.
Please suggest a solution or a workaround. In reality, i have a cascading set of drillthroughs across multiple pages so can't keep placing a slicer for drill through values across as a workaround ...

Hi @Anonymous ,
You want to automatically reset the default value of the page 2 slicer, which is impossible.
The current workaround is to create a bookmark, and click the bookmark every time you return to page 1 from page 2 to restore the original slicer's default value. But if the data point you drill through is related to the slicer, I think it may affect the traceability result.

Hi @Anonymous , I am glad to finally find out that neither (A) an automatic reset or say, refresh, is possible Nor (B) a design workaround using only "drillthrough" would be possible.
My slicers (and data on visuals) are connected to the data point of drillthrough. The drop down slicers start to refresh when i "Open" them up, kind of waking up to new value of drillthrough.
Should i mark your response as a solution because atleast it brings a closure for me ?
Hi @Anonymous ,
Do you want to remove the filtering conditions of the filter after drill through?
You can clear the filter conditions by keeping the mouse at the position of the red box and clicking the eraser.
Or make a bookmark and click to jump to your previous page.

Hi Stephen - First of all, thanks so much for taking the effort. To answer your question -- It's not from the two options you provided me but you are very close. On Page 2 - Instead of filter, think of some drop down slicer available. That slicer should reset to it's original value on every visit to the page from Page 1. Hope i could explain myself.
I downloaded and modified your file but i don't find a place here to upload it back to be able to share. Probably, i dont have access. Please see if the screenshot helps.
Hi @Anonymous - To quickly add to above - The business reason for this requirement is genuine i.e. - In my reality, Page 2 has several charts & drop down slicers. Users reach page 2 for a specific Project (i.e. a User in the sample file you shared), play around with all the charts/drop down slicers to analyze it. This analysis makes a mess of all the selected values of charts/dropdowns on Page 2. Once user's analysis completes, they go back into Page 1, pick a new Project to drillthrough into Page 2. They expect to start afresh for charts & drop down slicers but instead, Page 2 shows them the last selected values for drop downs and even any bars they left selected on any chart.

Hi @Anonymous ,
If you mark my response as a solution, I will be very grateful to you. You can also mark both your and my replies as solutions at the same time.
Hope you have a nice day.
