recreate Matrix table in report view as a new table in my data model?

Can I create a new table from a matrix table I created in report view?

I have created a visual in my report view and I need to create a table from the data in that visual is this possible at all?

I would then append data from excel into that table using power query to automate that process.

Please let me know.Thanks

Hi @gallantabs ,

Are the fields which applied on the matrix table from a calculated table? If yes, the table can't be seen in Power Query Editor, hence you can't append it with the data from the excel...

Later we can check if there is any other alternative to achieve your requirement. Could you please provide some sample data in your tables (exclude sensitive data) with Text format and your expected result with backend logic and special examples? It would be helpful to find out the solution. You can refer the following links to share the required info:

And It is better if you can share a simplified pbix file. You can refer the following link to upload the file to the community. Thank you.

Thanks Rena, I will try this out and get back with my outcome. Kind regards,Abbey
