I have a dataset of room information each with multiple description fields.
For example: Building#1 | great condition | Bathroom | 250 sqft
I would like to be able to create a new set of variables. for example: total area of bathrooms in Building #2 in great condition, so I can compare that number with total area of Bathrooms in Buildnig#7 in poor condition.

You can easily do this in the query editor:
Create a reference table (right click on your table and select Reference)
Click on Group By in the ribbon
Select Building #, Condition and Room for grouping, sqft for aggregation set to sum
