"Pointing" the Dashboard to a Different Database

Hi:

In Power BI Desktop, I have visualizations that display the data perfectly.

I want to use this same dashboard but "point" it to a different database.

This "different" database contains the same tables as the original -- just different data within those tables.

How do I conduct this "pointing"?

Thanks!

John

Hi @jellis1971 , @lbendlin thank you for your prompt reply!
As lbendlin said, you need to have another database in the same server and have the right permissions on it.
Then based on your needs, we could save the existing pbix file as a new file with a different filename, such as file2:

Then open the copied file, switch to Data Source Settings and change the data source to another database:

Is that database on the same server? Do you have read permissions for both databases?
