python script Does not show up (python scripting option is missing from get data and file > options)

python scripting option is missing from the   get Data > other option....  I have both python 2 and 3 installed on my computer.

 

python scripting option is also missing from file > options.

 

However, both places show R script as an option. 

 

Can anyone recommend a solution

Hi @TheMish,

 

You should enable "Python Support" in Preview Features list.

I do not even "Preview Features" in my Power BI Desktop which is August 2018.

Hi @v-yulgu-msft,

 

Thank you for the post response. I actually spent hours yesterday trying to locate that checkbox in the preview options. It was not there...

 

Today after seeing your response. I decided to reinstall power BI... and it magically appeared.
