power bi refresh problem

hi All

I have a Power BI Desktop connected to Dynamics CRM Online (using API). I published a Dashboard to the Online Power BI and I can see it.

I downloaded the Service App for the Online Power BI, but you can't add the API address to the list of connections. it keeps usking me to update my credentials. they are up-to-date.

how do I get the data to refresh with the published dashboards?

thank you in advance for any suggestions

@talb

Did you use a Mashups between a cloud source and an on-premises source in a single query?

If so, it will fail to refresh in the personal gateway if one of the sources is using OAuth for authentication. It's a known issue. To work around this problem, you need to have a separate query for the cloud source and the on-premises source and use a merge or append query to combine them. For more details, please see: Troubleshooting Power BI Gateway - Personal

Thank you,

my problem is that I am trying to connect the Power BI to an Online Dynamics CRM BUT all my data are on a custome fields. to my understanding, the Online Power BI can only read the OOB fields. to go around this (since I don't think there is a single company that didn't customizaed the system somehow), I opened a Desktop Power BI, connected the Online CRM via API and published the report.

now I want it to refresh automatically on the site without me havign to refresh and republish every day.

is that possible?

do you happen to know a better way to connect the Power BI site to the CRM catching the customized information?
