power bi desk

I can't refresh my Excel file that I imported into Power BI Desktop after I finish refreshing the Excel file itself, the data remains the same as when I imported it into Power BI

  • Hi cheick123
Are you refreshing the report from the "front views"?

    or from POWER QUERY?

Power query just refreshes a preview ... so you need to refresh it from the "front".

Make sure that Excel file is closed

Ritaf1983  I call it the front end (similar to the front as you call it), or the reporting side of the desktop app because I haven't been able to find an official name for it from Microsoft, like the query editor. 🤷‍♂️

      Hi Anonymous

It's good to know that I'm not alone. Since my main expertise is data visualization. My main goal when I communicate through graphs or taxonomies is to be understood quickly and accurately. So I'm voting with two hands in favor of simple language 🙂
