merging two cells and giving them a title in table of matrix

Hi Experts,
Kindly help me with this. I wish to add a title as shown in yellow in a matrix or table. How can I do this?Need to add yellow cell

@Greg_Decklerwill it work if I wish to write name of KPI on the top of 2 colums? Suppose I wish to group sales for fruits (weekly, monthly and yearly) and simlarly for clothes(weekly, monthly and yearly).
weekly, yearly and monthly are the columns of matrix while Fruits is the heading on theses columns.
