mailto markdown links in "Show a custom message before publishing reports"

We are configuring the "Show a custom message before publishing report" admin option in Power BI Service tenant settings.

We would like to include a message like the following:

#### Before you publish...

Make sure you have:

- complied with XXX's Power BI Governance Framework which can be found [here](https://XXX.XXXX.com/:b:/s/PowerBICommunityofPractice/xxxx?e=xxxx).

If you need further advice, please contact the [Power BI Data Administrator](mailto:xxx.xxx@xxx.com?subject=Power%20BI%20Report%20Publication%20Advice).

The help article on this setting says the message text supports markdown. However, although the first https link renders correctly, the mailto link does not. Does anyone know whether this is by design (i.e. mailto URLs are not supported) or am I doing something wrong?

This is a great use case.   "You can also follow the Submit and view feedback for this page" on the footer of the Help Article.  This type of feedback is actively reviewed.  Consider cross-posting to the Microsoft Fabric Sub Reddit as it is very active and moderated by members of the Fabric CAT Team and frequented by many folks who handle Governance.
