issue Assigning dates to quarter

Hi Gurus 🙂

I have an issue mapping dates to their corresponding Fiscal Quarters using this function, it returns wrong info for some of the data.

Two tables, Q-index and Workday 

CALCULATE(MAX('Q-Index'[FYQ]),FILTER('Q-Index','Q-Index'[QStart]<=EARLIER(Workday[Hire Date']) && 'Q-Index'[QEnd]>=EARLIER(Workday[Hire Date'])))

Why is it returning the wrong quarter?
