Hello,
I have a matrix containing the following rows:
NBL
Market Sector
Project
Distribution
End Date
Total Budget
JTD Revenue
JTD baklog
the column is Fiscal Period
and values is adjusted forecast
I am trying to sort my matrix by rows. It is like it is possible to do so by using, let's say anyone of the three first rows but after anyone does not seems to work.
Does someones know why it is doing this. What Can I do if I want to sort by JTDBacklog.
Regards,
Hi @Anonymous ,
I'm not clear about your request. What do you mean sort a matrix by row? Do you mean this?
Can you please share some sample data and expected output with us?
Hello,
As you can see, the rows I have in my matrix are presented at right hand side of the picture. You don't see the column which is the fiscal period and the value which is the forecast value.
If I sort this matrix by the first row which is the NBL, it works fine. Then if I sort using the Market Sector, it will sort the market sector within each NBL. It is the same thing for the Project. When come the time to sort by Total Budget, JTDRevenue or JTDBacklog, it is not possible. It is probably due to the fact that the matrix is already sort by default by the there first rows. I have try by clicking on the three dots of the matrix to sort by JTDBacklog but it has no effect.
i think the fastest and easiest way is to enter your own data and then create your own rank for each

then connect the 2 tables
then you can simply select the column that contains those categories and sort by the rank table
this allows you to arrange the rows in any order that you choose
if this doesnt make sense then send me a copy of the PBIX and i can show you what i mean
