Hello -
I have seen several solutions for how to replace blanks in a matrix with a zero. However, they all use measures. I created my matrix using data from calculated columns, not measures. How do you replace the blanks but when your data sources are calculated columns, not measures? thank you
i can't figure out how to create the measure with a conditional statement. It's working just fine as a calculated column. Is there any way I can fix this blank vs. zero in a matrix without having to convert everything to measures?
Hi @lad_baxter ,
According to your statement, I think your issue is that you want to replace blank for zero in matrix. And you want to achieve your goal by calculated column instead of measure.
As far as I know, calculated column will load data into Power BI, so it couldn't be dynamic. I guess the blank in your matrix is caused by lossing data in data model, so calculated column couldn't help you solve your issue. I suggest you to try measure which is based on calculated column with IF() function.
For example:
Measure =
IF ( SUM ( [Caculated column] ) = BLANK (), 0, SUM ( [Caculated column] ) )
If this reply still coudln't help you solve your issue, please share a sample file with me and show me a screenshot with the result you want.

can you try to create a measure and show the measure in matrix?

I will try that but I am so far down the rabbit hole using these calculated columns that it would be like starting from the beginning. might be my only option at this point. thanks
