how to fill a new column with specific values from another column?

How can I fill a new column with specific values from another column... for example, Column 1 = number of days between start date and finish date.  Populate Column 2 with all that exceed 5 days.

@mbs2016 You can use a DAX function in a Calculated column.

Right click table - add column

Column = IF(Table1[Column1] > 5, Table1[Column1], BLANK())

Ultimatley, what I'm trying to show is a report that details all items that are considered overdue, with some type of filter that would be able to slice items past due broken out by range of 'days overdue'... For example "All items 1-7 days overdue", "All items 8-14 days overdue", etc.

I originally created a "Days Overdue" function/column using the following:

Days Overdue = DATEDIFF(V_MP_REP_INVOICES_OVERDUE[RDOC_DUE_DATE], TODAY(), DAY)

But I can't seem to figure how to incorporate this with the above.

The Second piece, would be to show the number of items overdue by quarter.

Here is the function I created based off of the suggestion

Column = IF(V_MP_REP_INVOICES_OVERDUE[RDOC_DUE_DATE]< 3/31/2016, V_MP_REP_INVOICES_OVERDUE[RDOC_DUE_DATE], VALUE())

Ultimatley, I'm trying to fill this column with all date values that fall between 1/1/2016 and 3/31/2016.
