how to extract a value no numeric as alphanumeric ?

hi,

I look for a function for desktop and/or query

My goal is to extract a value no numeric to get in a new column as a type.

For instance

Number                                   New column ( as Type)

INC000                                              INC

DMND00032                                     DMND

PRJ4444                                            PRJ

How to do it ?

Thank you in advance for your return and your help .

Sincerely

Hi,

You could try using the split function in power query. Perhaps by non-digit to digit would work in your case

Hi @Anonymous ,

You need to create 2 measures like below:

Number = IFERROR(VALUE( 'Table'[ColumnValue] ),BLANK())

Name = IF( ISERROR(VALUE('Table'[ColumnValue])), 'Table'[ColumnValue] )

Please give KUDOS to this effort and accept this as a solution!

Don't forget to give thumbs up and accept this as a solution if it helped you!!!
