how do you insert multiple tooltips over an image

Hi everyone,

Is there  a way I can insert multiple tooltips in specific areas of an image on Power BI desktop's free version? For example, I have a screenshot of an email with multiple attachements. I would like to create some type of hover over pop-out or tooltip that will explain what each email is. In my example, I have four different emails, so I would like to add a tooltip hoverover for each. Also, is there a way to add an arrow or some type of shape that pops up denoting the area you're referring to kind of like how PowerPoint allows you to add special actions?

Another idea was to create a flowchart using Visio. If I hover over the image, I would like an image to pop out showing the email type it's referring to. I'm not sure if I'm able to do that.

I read you could show a  🛈 icon to show a page with that info by creating a measure with that emoticon (Information Icon = "🛈") and add it to a card. The card visual then let's you to configure a ToolTip, but I do not know how to do this. I am novice in Power BI.

Any ideas or help is truly appreciated!

Thanks!

Hi @jazzyelsie

Perhaps you can try creating a custom tooltip, and then put the view you want to display in that custom tooltip, and then when you select a node, the visuals can be displayed as a page. You can refer to the following link.

This may help. I created a button and make it transparent (transparency 100%). In the "Action" pane I selected "Web URL" but I left the URL in blank. Below there is a "Tool Tip" panel that allows you to write any text.

So, whenever you hover the button it will shows that text.
