I've been experimenting with the custom visual Hexbin Scatterplot. The display is incomplete for larger datasets.
It seems it was originally published by a company called BlueGranite, but their links have gone cold. It's not clear who maintains it now.
Can anyone confirm that there is a row limit to the amount of data that can be displayed? And in which case, is there a way to increase this limit?
Hi @Anonymous ,
As far as I know, normally the we can turn on high-density-sampling function in Power BI visual to show more data.
For refernece:
High-density line sampling in Power BI
However, it seems not to be supported in this vsiual.
I think hexbin scatterplot should be a custom visual in App Source. I think you can contect with the publisher to learn more details. You can find him from this link: Hexbin Scatterplot - Support | powerbi (deldersveld.github.io)

Thanks for the reply. I don't think it's a high density sampling function thing. On scatter or line charts, this function helps to choose more representative points to show. It seems to me that the idea of a hexbin plot is not to show the individual points, rather the density of points by shading.
Thanks for the GitHub link. That seems the place to go for tech support.
