groups, bins, clustering and SSAS

Group, bin, and Cluster functionality is great but this type of analysis is not available when hitting an SSAS cube (either OLAP or Tabular).  When will this functionality be available for SSAS data sources?

Currently, it's not supported to make changes on dataset when opening live connection to SSAS. So you can't add groups, clusters, etc on either dimension or measure group. Please submit a feature request on idea: https://ideas.powerbi.com/forums/265200-power-bi-ideas

Sounds like we might be able to make calculated columns on SSAS Tabular models soon but there is no release date.

SSAS MDX will be later, so otherwise you'll need to add it to your SSAS Tabular model, or switch to import query.
