get data from windows server 2008 r2

I need get data from a excel archive that are in a windows server 2008 R2 and work the dashboard outside the system, is it possible? or some idea that  how can i do it?

Please check if the data source you are using is a data source that power bi supports connection.

@josecubillo97 , Not sure is this related to power bi. One way is create a shareable drive and get it from there.
