facebook insight

Hi Everyone

My first post here! Hope you guys will help.

How do I get facebook page insight for a past date? I mean, selecting "Custom" and "insights" only gives me latest insight. But I need insight from an earlier date, say six months ago.

Is there any way to do it?

I get the following error message when i try to connect. 

DataSource.Error: Facebook: Invalid query
Details:
DataSourceKind=Facebook
DataSourcePath=https://graph.facebook.com/
Detail=https://graph.facebook.com/v2.8/HeinigerGroomingAusNZ/insights?limit=1000

Any ideas?

Could you please try with lower API version like 2.2, 2.6 or 2.7?

I learnt quite a lotvfrom datachant articles. To tell you the truth, these gave me the confidence to try power bi for fb analytics.

However, I couldn't find any formula or code with which I can extract insight for a past date. By default facebook returns only latest insight.

In other words, say I need insight as on Nov 30th of 2016.

Can you help me with this please?

Author mentioned about SincePeriod. This is parameter that passed to api to get longer periods.

I was trying to get facebook page insight for a date range using SincePeriod query. Although I am now getting the data, but lots of fields return errors.

I'm attaching screenshots for your understanding. FYI, I am an admin of this page, so am supposed to get all data

Hi @atiqulbari,

I saw there is a difference between your link in FB.graph with the tutorial. Could you please share your whole of Query1 script or your pbix file for analysis? I will check it when available.
