Hi! I'm having an issue when I tried to append 2 tables. I only have 12 columns but after I appended them, another 9 columns show up as the screenshot. Anyone knows about what went wrong? How can I fix it? Thanks!
Hi @bbbbi01
Thank you very much Ashish_Mathur and Greg_Deckler for your prompt reply.
The presence of “null” in a new column indicates that additional columns have been created due to missing data in the original table. If one table has extra columns and the other does not, those columns will appear as null.
I suggest you check your own data.
If you're still having problems, provide some dummy data and the desired outcome. It is best presented in the form of a table.

Hi,
I have experienced this when appending data from Excel files. In each Excel files, go one column after the last filled up column and select all columns till the end. Delete all those columns. Save the files and close them. Refresh PowerBI.
@bbbbi01 Silly question, but do both tables being appended hae 12 columns and are all the columns the same names in both tables?
Of course same column numbers and names...
