export to pdf shapes outline visible

I'm experiencing an issue when I export to PDF, I get outline of all shapes, even though I have outline parameter non active. Does anyone know a cure? Thank you:)

Hi I know it's a bit late but for anyone else that may be having the same issue: I enabled outline, made it color #ffffff and made the transparency setting 100%

I was having the same issue and it fixed it for me.

@eilina

I was having the same issue with a report that I made. As it turns out, even though the Border and the Outline settings are off, it was still showing an outline. For me, when I exported to a PDF, I noticed a blue rectangle around the shape, and by default the Outline for the shape is set to blue (even though I had it turned off). As a result, I turned on the Outline, changed the color to clear (#ffffff), and then it disappeared from my PDFs while remaining invisible in Power BI. I hope this helps.

Hi @eilina ,

Have you disable all border options for visuals before you export it?

Hi @eilina ,

Your 1st screenshot is without outlines on shapes.

2nd is with outlines.

The way you achieved the first one do it for the 2nd one as well.

I don't understand why you have attached 2 screenshots.

Well, to show the difference between report and pdf. In PBI it is wo outlines (1st screen), in PDFis with outlines (2nd screen)

Hi @eilina ,

I don't see this happening at my end. Isee without borders in PDF as well.

Have you turned-off Border under format settings for your visual?

Are you using latest Power Bi Desktop update?

Yeah, it is strange 😕

Parameters on shape are switched off except Fill:

I have latest version - May 2021. Actually, I tried to export another report to pdf which previously was fine, but now I get a strange behaviour in pdf as well. So I suppose it can be smth going on with latest PBI update...

HI @eilina ,

It is not latest update for sure as I don't see this issue at my end.
May be you can raise with Support team here: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/support/

As part of testing, can you try removing your background image and test this with just shape. I have a weird feeling this is something to do with youe page background image.

Thanks,

Pragati

I ve tried even to create a new file with no background and I anyway get the outline of any shape 😕

Hi @eilina ,

I agree with Pragati11, everything works well in my test on the latest version of power bi desktop. Would you please show us the pbi file with the issue?

Dedmon Dai

Hi @eilina ,

It seems that it only happens on the shapes/ Everything works well in visuals. As a workaround, you need to change the outline the same color of your background color.
