I have a person or group column in Sharepoint that I can't expand the record in Power BI. The BI keeps spinning and spinning - and will not allow me to expand the record to extract the name. Any other ways around it or ideas? I have tried to clear cache - and reconnect credentials.

Are you using the 1.0 connector when you pull it? There is a bug with the 1.0 connector where it fails to expand person columns seemingly at random - it's been this way for years. You can fix by either reducing the api version number in the advanced query editor by 1 or try connecting with the 2.0 connector. Both will give you different column names/data structure, so you may have to redo the rest of the query steps depending.

Hi @jcastr02
Try the following steps to see if there is an improvement.
1. Use a different connection to get data from SharePoint.

2. Optimize queries for quick access to SharePoint list data.

@lkalawski I tried to filter the query to 1 record and still the issue was faced.
