error when connecting to mysql database

When i tried connecting mysql database , i am getting above error.

but i installed myssql connector also.

Please help me on this.

Hi @kalpanaV,

The minimum MySQL provider version supported by Power BI is 6.6.5. Could you try downloading and reinstalling the MySQL provider from this link to see if it works?

i should not install any connector as per my company policy. so i didnt try that.

Hi @kalpanaV,

The MySQL provider is needed to use MySQL connector in Power BI Desktop. Or you will get the error above.
