power BI export report to email settings

Hi All,

i have 17 dashboards and i would like Power BI automatically email me daily for each dashboard's user vist metric report (in .csv format). Can anyone help me on the settings?

Thank you

  • 1. Refer to this link

    2. After that is done, go to Power BI Desktop > Get Data > Microsoft Fabric > Power BI datasets.

    3. Look for a dataset called Report Metrics Usage or Usage Metrics Report. Click on connect (it will create a live connection)

    4. Create a table visualization with the data that you need for your report (ie. report name, viewer, date, views count, etc.)

    5. Publish the report and share it with your client.

  • Power BI reports can only be exported in .pptx or .pdf format. To extract its data into .csv you have 2 options:

    1. Create a complex automation in Power Automation where you read, transform and extract the data into a table and then creating a .csv file from it.

    2. If you have a Pro License/Premium Workspace, create a paginated report from your dataset and then create a subscription that emails you daily that report in .csv format.
